About Us

The Central Coast NSW Bromeliad Society, encourages and educates hobbyist and home growers in the cultivation and propagation of Bromeliads. We hold monthly general meetings, where we have bromeliad growing discussions, bromeliad displays, bromeliad competitions and have an extensive range of bromeliads for sale. We organise bus trips to Bromeliad growers and have trips to see members bromeliad gardens.
The monthly newsletter "Bromelia Post" is about growing Bromeliads, and sent to all members. This website is where Members and Visitors can view other growers' bromeliad gardens, bromeliads as patio's plants, bromeliads in shade houses and plant collections.

Objectives

The objectives of our bromeliad society are:

To promote good fellowship and friendship amongst members of the bromeliad society.

To provide the facilities and environment for social contact between members and their friends, and generally to afford to them all the usual privilages, benefits and conveniences of the bromeliad society.

To promote the growing of Bromeliads among the members and the public, and to increase the interest in the culture of Bromeliads, as patio's plants and in the garden.

To further the knowledge of members and the public about Bromeliads, including their natural history, conservation, cultivation and hybridisation.
